Hello Ottawa!

I have arrived in your beautiful (and freeeeeezing) city for the Canadian New Music Network national conference, FORUM 2016.

This is my first CNMN FORUM, but it won’t be my last! I’m very excited to be among these new music lovelies. See the featured guests here: FORUM featured guests

On Friday morning at 11:45 I’ll be giving a presentation called “In Pursuit of Balance” at Freimann Hall, Perez Building, Ottawa University. It’s a 15-minute talk (small performance intro!) on work-life balance. I’m looking forward to starting this important (and oh-so-relevant) conversation.

After the talk, please join me on my Facebook page and/or on Twitter to keep the conversation going: SHARE YOUR TIPS, TRIALS, and TRIBULATIONS.

Use the hashtag #InPursuitOfBalance

A detailed description of all FORUM sessions and activities can be found here (descriptions) and the timetable is here (timetable).

I will also be presenting with my other half, Erin Bardua, under our Essential Opera hats. On Saturday from 4:00-4:30 we will be chatting about new opera beyond commissioning. Join us! We’ll be in the Perez Building, room 113A.

I haven’t had the chance to update my schedule page. In the meantime, you can always follow me on social media (see above) for up-to-date comings and goings. And you can sign up for email notifications (I don’t flood inboxes, promise).  Here are some of my recent and upcoming performances:
